Birmingham 3 Day Cardiac Diet – Fast Weight Loss Diet

Here is the diet menu:

DAY 1

Breakfast

Tea or coffee (no cream or sugar)
1/2 grapefruit
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1 toast

Lunch

Tea or coffee (no cream or sugar)
1/2 cup of tuna
1 toast

Dinner

3 ounces of lean meat
1 cup carrot
1 cup of green beans
1 apple
1 cup ice cream

DAY 2

Breakfast

Tea or coffee (no cream or sugar)
1 egg
1 toast
1/2 banana

Lunch

Tea or coffee (no cream or sugar)
1 cup cottage cheese
5 crackers

Dinner

2 beef sausages
1 cup broccoli
1/2 cup carrot
1/2 banana
1/2 cup ice cream

DAY 3

Breakfast

Tea or coffee (no cream or sugar)
5 crackers
1 ounce cheddar cheese
1 apple

Lunch

Tea or coffee (no cream or sugar)
1 egg (boiled)
1 toast

Dinner

1 cup of tuna
1 cup cauliflower
1 cup of beets
1 cup of melon
1/2 cup ice cream

Are you kidding me?

Any diet that recommends hot dogs and ice cream every night doesn’t sound very scientific to me. This is just another fad diet that can cause weight loss due to low calories.

The problem is that any weight you lose during these three days will be regained once you resume your normal diet. As you may have experienced, that is the case with all crash diets.

If you want lasting weight loss, you should stop the Birmingham 3-Day Cardiac Diet for patients scheduled for surgery.
