Email forwarding: do bad things happen when you ignore them?

How many of you have received one of those ominous emails from another who proclaims that if they ignore your forwarding request, then some misfortune will befall you? We’ve all seen them, from ‘the money angel’ to ‘Help! My son is dying of a terrible disease ‘to the omnipresent’ send if you love Jesus or God ‘.

Each begins with a cheesy story, used to tear the fibers of your heart and make you feel guilty so you respond. They then end with a warning if you don’t resend it, and sometimes a promise of good luck if you keep it. The following are examples of such emails:

  • “Broadcast it to 6 of your good friends or family, and be rich in 4 days. Broadcast it to 12 of your good friends or family, and be rich in 2 days. I’m not kidding … you will find a windfall. If you delete it, He will beg you. Believe me! “
  • “My child is dying of ANYONE (who completes it). Email everyone in your address book as SOME CORPORATION will give a dollar for everyone who receives this email.”
  • “If you don’t broadcast this, you don’t love Jesus or God. If you broadcast it, a miracle will happen in your life at 10 am tomorrow.”

How many of you really believe that something bad will happen if you ignore them? In addition to the fact that most of them congest server space and are verifiable hoaxes through reputable survey sites like snopes.com, it is evident that many people still forward these bogus emails.

I myself have sent these forms of communication, even though the promises made have NEVER been kept. So why did I, along with millions of other people, keep forwarding these fake and nonsensical emails?

Could it be that we all have the belief that bad things will actually happen? If so, why are we so willing to accept such a fate? Could it be that we live in a world where we live by rules – rules that if broken will cause punishment? Only in a world of trials, could there be an expectation of a detrimental outcome.

According to the law of manifestation, validated by quantum physics, your thoughts create your world. Therefore, every time you forward an email out of fear of retaliation, you are actually perpetuating those destructive thoughts. Then, The ultimate answer to the question, “Will something bad happen if I don’t forward that email” is NO! Instead, by ignoring the transmission of the email, you will give the universe a chance to respond constructively in your life.
