Exposing the best of the best carpet cleaning methods

When looking for a carpet cleaning company, there are several factors to consider. The factors to consider largely depend on the different cleaning methods and techniques offered by different companies. In fact, there are several methods that are recognized in this industry and they include the following methods listed below.

Dry Cleaning – In this method, corn husks are ground into a powder and mixed with a solvent which is then applied to the surface of the fabric. The carpet is then vacuumed to remove any dirt. Subsequently, a water-based solution is applied using a pump sprayer and a clean pad that is rotated over the carpet, thereby transferring the particles to the pad.

Shampoo – In this method, a shower powered brush scrubber is used to dispense the shampoo solution that cleans the carpet. This is one of the top 2 methods used by industrial customers due to the fact that shampooing is cheaper to use compared to all other available solutions and is readily available.

Steam Wash: In this method, the fabric is first laid out on a raised surface and with a portable machine, then hot water is sprayed evenly over the carpet with the machine’s sprays. A suction port, typically attached to the side of the sprinklers, draws the carpet soil solution into a holding tank. The contents of the holding tank can then be disposed of.

Vacuuming – This is a method where a vacuum cleaner is used to suck up dirt and any other dry particles before washing. The vacuum cleaner is readily available in most homes due to its affordability.

A commercial pile lift vacuum is an alternative technique for cleaning a carpet. A multi-brush machine is fed with a cleaning solution to be applied to the area to be washed. The application of the solution is done by brushes that rotate in any direction, ensuring thorough results. The solution is allowed to settle on the tissue.

By doing so, the dirt is suspended from the fabric and, using the steam washing method mentioned above, the dirt is extracted. Since a large percentage of dirt is typically carpet stains and dried particles, most of the methods mentioned above will require a thorough vacuum before the actual wash begins.
