It’s an aquatic adventure at Michigan’s largest indoor water park

Avalanche Bay Indoor Water Park in Boyne Mountain rightly claims to be “Where Adventure Lives,” because that’s exactly what awaits you during a visit. All of the weatherproof water action at Michigan’s largest indoor water park is available year-round. Inside is a truly gigantic theme park encompassing 88,000 square feet of aquatic fun for family members of all ages. The park features five roaring water slides, a wading pool for the kids, a wet climbing wall for those seeking new heights, a lazy river, multiple hot tubs, and mountain water.

When you enter the water park, you will feel the need to pull up your leather pants as you stroll through the Swiss and Austrian winter wonderland village. Even in the winter months, the temperature in the park is a comfortable 84 degrees.

Watch out for the 800-gallon rush of water that erupts with the sound of a horn from Splasherhorn Mountain. Go up and down the many bridges and protect yourself from garbage cans and water jets. Surf in Rip Zone while you face the waves on your surfboard or bodyboard. Slide and slide down the Vertigo Slide tubes in the giant fish tank. At the Kitz Pool, kids can enjoy splashing fountains, a scale slide, and basketball hoops.

Put your climbing skills to the test as you attempt to ascend the South Wall, fighting the gushing water that rains down on you from above. When you’re done, spend the day floating on a leisurely and relaxing ride down the River Boyne. In the Downhill Mat Racer, you and three others compete for the fastest time down the slide. Grab a tube and twist and turn on the Super G tube slide for some fun.

During your Boyne vacation, your kids will have a blast at Avalanche Bay. With lifeguards everywhere, a safe and exciting time awaits. Whether you’re looking to climb, float, surf, or float, the park has it all! There truly is something for everyone at the place “where adventure lives.”
