The best Easter eggs from Disney movies

If you are reading this article thinking that we are talking about chocolate eggs that they give you in April with a picture of Mickey next to it, you are going to be disappointed. No, we are talking about the hidden messages and jokes that Disney animators include in their beloved films for fun and to reward viewers with eagle eyes. These are some of our favorites.

  • In Aladdin, when Jafar’s spell is broken, Rajar the tiger grows Mickey’s ears briefly in transformation. You can also see Sebastian from the Little Mermaid causing the Genie a bit of annoyance at one point.
  • Most Disney movies tend to include the Mickey Mouse logo or ear silhouette. There are too many of these to list all of them, just keep your eyes open the next time you see one.
  • Disney likes to introduce characters from other movies into new movies, and you can clearly see Beast from Beauty and the Beast in a pile of toys in the smash hit Aladdin.
  • Peg from Lady and the Tramp appears in 101 Dalmatians and can be seen in the window of the pet store along with other dogs.
  • The same type of Easter egg can be found in Tarzan, as Mrs. Potts and Chip can be seen on a table.
  • In the recent Disney CGI movie Tangled, you can see Pinocchio and Pumbaa hiding in the pub, the snuggling duckling, a Sleeping Beauty storybook, and other Disney-related books in the bookstore.
  • In Lilo and Stitch, you can see a Dumbo toy in Lilo’s bedroom. There is also a Mulan poster on her wall.
  • Pixar, which are owned by Disney, are famous for their references and Easter eggs and include numerous in each film.
  • Boo at Monster’s Inc has a Jessie Doll from Toy Story 2 and Nemo from Find Nemo. This started the trend of including a character from the next Pixar movie that will be released in the previous movie.
  • In Wall-E you can see Hamm the toy pig on the shelves in Wall-E’s house. It’s also interesting that John Ratzenberger, who voices Hamm, has voiced a character in every Pixar release so far.

If you want a lot of these characters to come to life, why not head to the famous Disney parks? The parks are also well known for having their own Easter eggs hidden around the parks.
