Sipi Falls is one of the most romantic and beautiful in Uganda. There are three levels of falls, but the top two levels are quite small compared to the main fall.The fall is located about 55 km north of Mbale, in the foothills of Mount Elgon and not far from the town of Kapchorwa.

I was hoping to stay just one night, opting for another at the last minute, not wanting to leave the quiet and peaceful place I found. You can venture to the bottom of the falls where the water is so exciting, you could almost be tempted to dive into the water to swim or bathe, the locals enjoy bathing in this place. Local fishermen are some distance away, although not many fish are caught here due to the rushing water.
In one of the Sipi falls there are caves that are designed as conference seats. It seems the work of the hand of man, however, it is nature or God himself who carefully nuances the stones of the rocks. There are other small caves in Sipi, which can connect one with Kenya, however they are too dark, the guides say that some people tried to use the route to cross into Kenya, however they were killed by animals, insects or just got lost. your way in these dark caves.
How to get to Sipi Falls
Sipi Falls can be accessed from Sironko, one of the Mbale municipalities, on the way, you will see a roadside market where most of the farmers sell their produce and buy basic goods. Dunkies are a common site in this area, the best for cargo; can take two load puffs. Along the way the vegetation are hisses, bushes and rocks that the paths are stained fiercely hanging as if they were going to fall at any moment to the road. The climate in this area is very cool, if the driver is a newcomer, the neighbors advise that he reach the top before noon, since at this time there is always a descent that makes the road slippery. However, if you do manage to stack up, the locals are more than ready to help you. There are always local guides and porters who are ready to help you carry your bags in case it is necessary.
