Job application and drug testing

When completing a job application, some companies require drug testing.
It is no longer enough to provide them with all kinds of personal information. Now they also want you to pee in a cup. To some extent, I understand the need for all of this personal information, but having an actual biological sample from the applicants seems to go a bit beyond the need.
Employers hope that workers are not drugged or drunk, but they should not require employees to prove their innocence through a drug test.

I understand that large corporations need to protect themselves but I think it is a bit intrusive to ask someone to pee in a cup. Although going through a drug test is common for many employees, I wonder if it is really necessary and if it really protects the employer from drug users. Most drug screening tests will only show substances that are currently in the applicant’s system and many of the more serious illegal substances can be removed from the system within 24 hours and this fact makes me think that the drug screening process may not be as effective as employers. I hope it is.
The laboratory test is another invasion of privacy, it reveals not only the presence of illegal drugs, but the existence of other physical and medical conditions, such as genetic predisposition to disease or pregnancy.

Unfortunately for employers, there are a wide variety of supplements and systems available to people who want to cleanse any unwanted substances from their bodies. In this way, a drug screening test can be frustrated because a drug user may go through the screening process only to continue to use it once the job has been assigned. These supplements and cleansing systems are widely available in many sports stores and other health stores and can be 100% effective in fooling a drug test. Not that I know it from personal experience, of course.
Human error in the laboratory, or the failure of the test to distinguish between legal and illegal substances, can add even a small margin of error to a huge potential for false positive results.

I know that if you have to take a drug test and feel like you are not prepared, there are many simple and inexpensive ways that can help. If it’s a GNC store in your city, you’re in luck. They usually carry several different products that can clean your system in a couple of hours. Because most drug tests require testing within 24 hours of notification, these products start working in as little as one hour and will be effective for several hours for you to take the test. and still feel protected. Just remember that you still have some rights even when you feel they are being violated.
Sometimes drug tests do not distinguish between legal and illegal substances. Even poppy seeds found in baked goods can test positive for heroin. Testing does not prevent accidents, but good management and advice can.
