EVVR Center Lite

EVVR Center Lite is an energy management hub designed to support electric vehicle charging networks. It integrates smart energy monitoring, load control, and charging automation, enabling facilities to maximize revenue generation through user fees and partnerships with electric car manufacturers. Moreover, it can help reduce carbon footprint by optimizing energy consumption in residential areas and commercial complexes.

EVVR is an innovative provider of intelligent automation tools, receiving a CES Innovation Award 2023 for their smart home controller. Serving as an IoT gateway and Wi-Fi 6 access point simultaneously, Evvr Hub can connect to a large number of connected devices without needing to be paired with a third-party app or cloud service for control. It is a dual-band wall-mounted wireless gateway that can also serve as a wired network access point for multi-unit residential properties and businesses.

One of the key features of EVVR Center Lite is its ability to integrate with smart lighting. This allows users to connect their existing light bulbs to the device and remotely control them using a variety of apps including Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, Alexa, and more. Using the EVVR app, users can also create customized schedules and routines to automatically adjust the lights at specific times. In addition, the EVVR app allows users to manage their lights and appliances even when they are away from home.

What are the key features and capabilities of the EVVR Center Lite?

With the capability to connect with over 500+ compatible devices, EVVR Center Lite is one of the most comprehensive smart home control systems on the market. Its open source nature provides users with the flexibility to customize the system and add new features to it.

The EVVR app itself is well-designed and intuitive to use. All the controls can be found in the top right corner of the screen and are labelled clearly. The setup process is simple and intuitive as well and a step by step guide is provided for the first time setup. The EVVR app also comes with an integrated QR scanner to scan and pair your new device(s) with the system. The app also shows the power status of each device and provides quick access to settings like the LAN link.

EVVR ApS, a business that offers IoT smart home solutions and services in the field of home automation, aiming to create a safe environment and a harmonized smart home experience, was established in 2021 and has its headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark, with branch offices set up in the U.S. and China.

In terms of hardware, the EVVR Center Lite is a solid product. The switch has a good feel and is built with durable materials. It has a small form factor and can fit behind most switches. It can be used with both traditional single-pole and three-way switches. The only drawback is the lack of a neutral wire, but that can be solved by connecting it with an additional “Sub-Assembly” that will bridge the switch box and forward the ON/OFF commands to the relay.

The Sub-Assembly is an interesting design that solves the neutral wire requirement of the EVVR In-Wall Relay Switch. It’s a tiny little device that connects to the switchbox and acts as a bridge between the power supply behind the switch and the relay. It can be powered by batteries so that you don’t need to keep your existing switch on all the time and it still works with older switches. It’s a great solution that can save you a lot of money in installation costs as it eliminates the need for an electrician to bring a neutral wire to the switchbox.
