Apple Macintosh laptops have long been known as very cool and very cute, but if you wanted a “real” computer, stick with a Windows-based laptop. How things have changed. The MacBook is fast becoming the Volkswagen Beetle of laptops. What I mean is that these great little computers are reliable, very easy to use, and in many ways are the computers of the people of our time.
Overall, this cheap, high-quality laptop is still cute, but it packs a punch and has gone from being just a multimedia computer to one that’s also a very decent personal computer for all purposes, including basic business needs. I really love the style of these little computers and Apple has played with this nice aesthetic in their marketing campaigns to push many other products including the Iphone, Ipod and the soon to be released Ipad. With all of these products together, they form a network of home work devices that have their own individual purpose yet work in harmony with each other.
The Apple MacBook has a 2.13Ghz Intel Core processor with 2 Ram and 160 Gig hard drive. It runs the Snow Leopard operating system, which is easy to learn and use, making it a great choice for youngsters just learning computer science or older generations finally embracing modern technology.
Overall, the Apple MacBook performs very well for Internet use, word processing, and multimedia tasks. It has a small size of 16.7 x 13 x 5.5 inches which makes it ideal for portability and it comes at a very good price compared to its Windows-based laptop competitors from HP, Dell and Toshiba.
If you’ve been using Windows forever and are afraid to make the switch to a Mac, . Do not be. The Snow Leopard operating system is excellent and very easy to use. You’ll wonder why you didn’t switch sooner, and there’s always the option of using a virtual machine to keep a copy of Windows available if you need it. I would recommend that you check out two books, The Little Mac Book and Switching to the Mac, as they explain the need to know about Apple Macintosh laptops and are a great counter ready for any problems you may have using your Mac.
